For those of you that are attending FCA's Weekend of Champions 2018, here's some info that you will need...
Transportation for students will be provided to and from the event. Students traveling from outside of Abilene (especially to the West of Abilene) are welcome to take advantage of this transportation option. Buses will leave the Pioneer Drive Baptist Church West parking lot (South 7th and Pioneer Drive) at 5:00 pm on Friday, January 19th. You will be able to park a car there over the weekend if need be, but we ask that you park as far to the West as possible. Please show up no later than 4:30pm to check in and get loaded. Dinner will be provided Friday night at the camp so you don’t need to eat before you come. We will wrap things up Sunday morning about 11:30 am and should arrive back at the Pioneer Drive parking lot by 12:30 pm on Sunday afternoon, January 21st.
If you choose to provide your own transportation, please make arrangements to arrive at Solid Rock Camp facility located in Eastland, Texas NLT 6:00 pm on Friday night, January 19th. We highly encourage you to carpool and have a coach or parent drive you to the camp. If you are playing basketball on Friday night, please contact Quin Conley at 325-665-1575 and let us know. You will need to arrive at the camp Saturday morning NLT 8am. The address for the Solid Rock Camp facility is 599 County Road 570A, Eastland, TX 76448. The phone number to the camp is (254) 647-3219. You can also get directions online at http://www.solidrockcamps.com/. Depending on the numbers, we may be able to provide a bus Saturday morning, but we need to know your specific travel arrangements.
All meals will be provided Saturday and we will serve breakfast on Sunday. You don’t need any cash for snacks, etc. There will be plenty of food all weekend. Here is a list of what you do need to bring:
